With farming being in the blood of the greater Kleinhans family it always has been my dad’s secret to one day be able to find his last peace on a piece of land in the bush. Being a B. Com Business graduate, he started a family business which myself took further as from 1989.
Hy retired in Jeffreys bay South Africa and was nearby his brother, a well-known game farmer in that area. Without having his own he, however, found his peace on visiting the family game farm.
In 2016 my wife and I decided to sell the family business and endeavour into this occupation and a close to the heart wish to someday “retire” in the bush. God had his ways (now spelt out very clear) with us in 2017 and 2018 and we were able to acquire the already established Witfontein Game Farm at the end of 2018. With an established hunting and accommodation business in place, we, however, do have bigger plans for this pristine place in the Waterberg bushveld. The first couple of months of 2019 will see many improvements and add-ons to the existing infrastructure to convert this gem into a true Lifestyle Farm where the essence of farm and agriculture are offered to the city dwellers.
This, for now, is not retirement but a change in lifestyle. Together with my wife Anneke and the help of our King we will offer any guest a home-from-home not to forget. A place in God’s creation where you will find yourself in many ways.
